Trying to figure this out

I made this blog so that I would have someplace to post reviews of books. I am trying to figure out how to make my page all 'spiffy' like others that I have seen. It is confusing because this is like nothing I have had to do before and I really considered myself rather knowledgable about the internet and it's workings. At this point I know that I am rambling on but it is rather helpful for my thought processes. I will be posting some reviews of some newer books once I get this thing figured out.
